Default repairing data archive

Hi there
wish my first post on GWG was better than this,

I have 2 PC's ..1 old athlon 1200 which has GW loaded and it plays ok with gfx set to min.. old hdd, old mobo to match cpu. I use this cos its quiet and I can play when others are in room ..
My games rig .. still old but is an OC'd barton 2500 at 3200 usual stuff .V loud..1g ram ..2 x pata HDD .. no raid and ati 9800 pro at stock speeds.
This plays my COD 2 and CSS great ..so i dont think its a cooling prob.. but I sometimes get GW crashes .. Most annoying ( cos it takes ages) is that I seem to get a lot of repairing data archives.

Is this a server thing or some symptom of a failing Hdd .. or from switching between 2 pc's .. I rarely run two accounts at once ..but not unknown.

What does a repair do, and why do they occur ?
any help on resolving this would be much appreciated

Overclocked systems most likely will have this problem. Lower the clocks and see if the repairing go away. I had exactly same problem last summer, other game worked fine but not GW. No single repairing after I lowered the clocks. You might want to check your memory modules too.
